Lots of writers have day jobs. Among traditionally-published authors, I wonder what the ratio between only writing, and multi-job writers is. I suspect the multi-job authors outnumber the single-job writers.
Since I have a day job and a non-fiction writing job, I find myself too busy for seriously tackling my fiction. It remains front-of-brain, however, sometimes interfering with the paying work I should be doing.
We’re down to the final four chapters of non-fiction.
And I’ve reached the vast age where retirement with benefits (i.e., social security, medicare, etc.) is sensible.
The next few months should be filled with disruptive change where I can trade one (well-paying) job for another — and much more interesting — job.
