Item 3 — shorter books published more often — is advice that’s maybe good and maybe bad. I’m fascinated.
I’ve been taking the “shorter books” to heart because I did not get traction with 160,000 words. (Also. The Mage may not be sympathetic enough. And. A forge may not be an obvious-enough McGuffin. I’m new to this fiction thing.)
