In spring 2023 (about a year ago) we went west. From North Carolina to Los Angeles. (And back.)
We drive in our truck. Slowly. And stop frequently.
Later that year -- in July -- we moved to Texas to help with family health care.
This means, of course, moving: pack up everything we own and drive to Texas. We don't move much furniture; we buy a few things at IKEA. We took up residence in an apartment where my partner can do family things, and I can write.
We've moved back from Texas to North Carolina. We gave the furniture to family. Loaded the clothes and galleyware into the truck. Drove back to NC, and moved back into the bedroom we use in a house we share.
We're about to move to Florida for about a month to potter about on our boat. I'm (secretely) hoping to set my technical writing aside because I'll have a hard time with connectivity for a month.
